Description:
Hailing from Northern Ireland I was not in the Queen's regiment recruitment area, but during training I read about the regiments rich history and decided I wanted in. I sat a board were I convinced the top brass to let me re-badge and the rest is history. I passed out and became a member of the second battalion the Queen's regiment and shortly after 2PWRR. I later served with other regiments but always remembered the Queen's regiment as my home from home. History makes a regiment and few if any are finer than thet of the Queen's regiment.I think I was the last person from Northern Ireland in the Regiment. I was definitely one of the proudest.
